Milestones Early Learning Coomera are looking for an individual to design a nutritious menu and be an integral team member of establishing a new food culture within our centre. Our busy centre can cater up to 75 places! We support quality, teamwork, training opportunities and a culture of recognition and reward. The role This role enables you to play an active part in creating healthy menus. You'll have access to a national network of centre cooks who regularly share recipes, questions, ideas and tips led by Kelly Richardson, the Gourmet Nutritionist, and devoted centre cooks. You'll also be encouraged to utilise the amazing feed Australia program - a free program enabling cooks to plan, budget and access healthy menus to enable children's growth and development while in child care. About you Efficient and capable cook Able to prepare, implement and evaluate the nutritional content of menus for children of all ages Experienced in bulk meal preparation, online ordering, stock management and budget control Strict about complying with relevant food safety and hygiene regulations and standards Able to cater for individual child requirements including allergies, specific dietary requirements and needs Keen to participate in the early educational opportunities of teaching children about healthy food by sharing in lessons and family events Your reward Set shifts 20 hours weekly working for Australia's fastest-growing child care group Access to healthy food recipes, advice and tips from other centre cooks and reward and recognition for the contribution you make to the centre environment Access to discounts on a variety of products and services Access to a national network of colleagues, training and future job opportunities at more than 160 child care centres owned by the same company Big smiles on the children's faces! You already have Current Food Safety and Handlers Health and Community Certificate Certificate III in Commercial Cookery / equivalent desirable Experience in an early childhood setting Reliable transport to and from our centre Current first aid certificate including asthma and anaphylactic training and resuscitation certificate Why work for Affinity- At Affinity, we proudly do things differently.
